Three Dimensional Calendar

Join Terri Ventura

Come join us and learn how to distress, age & manipulate paper, vintage photos, and any other mementos you wish to incorporate. You will learn how to create this calendar using vintage ephemera, trims, ribbons, and Dresden. Your finished piece will soon become a family treasure!

Scrapbook Madness

Join Terri Ventura in her continuing series of classes using the Ranger ink products. She will teach you how to age, distress and alter your medium. We will use these techniques to design a 3D Collage. Bring in some family mementos you’d like to showcase and we’ll create “A Generation Showcase.”

Fabulous Felted Tote Bag

Come join Charlotte Lyons to make a simple felt tote from recycled wools. Decorate yours with Tinsel Trading sweets and trims for a unique personal accessory. Some basic sewing required, but always many hands to help with that (and we use glue too)!

The Wonderful World of Altered Books

Join Terri Ventura in an adventure of altering a book into a work of art. Bring in an old book, copies of photos, and any mementos you'd like to use. We will work with ephemera of all kind, wonderful trims, ribbons, glitter, and flowers from our store. All will be used to embellish your new keepsake. We'll be using paint, inks and all sorts of other messy stuff, so dress appropriately

Vintage Style Bracelet

Join Terri Ventura in creating a wonderful bracelet using filigree stampings from Tinsel Trading. She will show you how to alter the stampings and include collage, beads, charms and any other goodies into your design. We will experiment using jump rings, wire wraps, and inks. You will leave with a unique, one of a kind bracelet created by you.

Victorian Valentine Ribbon Brooches and Nosegays

Join Loretta Marvel in creating old fashioned ribbon rosettes brooches and nosegays for your Valentine. We will use vintage ribbons, trim, art papers from the incredible inventory of luscious goods at Tinsel Trading.

Join Terri Ventura in an adventure of altering a book into a work of art. Bring in an old book, copies of photos, and any mementos you'd like to use. We will work with ephemera of all kind, wonderful trims, ribbons, glitter, and flowers from our store. All will be used to embellish your new keepsake. We'll be using paint, inks and all sorts of other messy stuff, so dress appropriately

The Glitter Fairy’s Valentine Trinket/Gift Box

Join Laurie Davis, AKA "The Glitter Fairy," in making a glittered, heart-shaped trinket (or candy) box. You will decorate both the inside and outside with fabulous Tinsel Trading trims, dresden, scrap, millinery flowers, vintage ephemera and of course, glitter! Your box also has a surprise inside— a tiny heart box which you may also embellish. These make wonderful gift boxes for your special somebody. Also, you'll make a beautiful "bee mine" hang tag, embellished with glitter and a faux bumblebee! Laurie will also teach "Glitter 101," where you will learn some of her fabulous glitter tricks-of-the-trade.

Memory Glass Magic

We are happy to introduce our newest teacher, Robin Beam. Robin is the Director of education at Ranger Industries. She has traveled all over the nation teaching and demonstrating her craft! Our creations can be made into a pin, necklace or used as an element for journals, scrapbook pages, and more. She will show you techniques to use with paper and photos using Ranger’s Adirondack® Alcohol Inks, Distress Ink™, Distress Crackle Paint™ and more. Be ready to get inky!

Altered Cigar Box

Enter artist Terri Ventura's world of collage art. Dig into that junk drawer, the one you keep all those things you can't bring yourself to throw away and bring them in. Using something as simple as a vintage cigar box, Terri will show you how to mix them into a piece of art worthy of hanging in a place of honor. We will be using Tinsel’s wonderful assortment of great ribbon, scrap paper, trim and embellishments, to help create your art piece.
